The charity formerly known as the Catholic Fellowship Disability Network has officially rebranded as CFDN, marking a major step forward in its commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and community growth.
Unveiled alongside a new logo and the motto “Empowering Disability, Supporting All”, the change reflects CFDN’s commitment as a charity that proudly serves people of all faiths and none, while maintaining its historic values of dignity, friendship and belonging.
This wonderful charity has been in existence since 1962, founded by parishioners of the Catholic Church who organised inclusive event and championed as par as parliament to ensure the need of people with disabilities were heard. Continuing today and proud of our history, our mission is simple but important, to serve people with disabilities and their families from all faiths and none by creating a supportive community and promote opportunity through our network and events.
“This rebrand is about more than a name,” said CEO Daniel Ruscoe. “It represents who we are today — a welcoming, empowering, and modern charity that centres disabled people and their families at the heart of everything we do whilst not forgetting our heritage and founding principles which was important to our volunteers and Trustees.”
CFDN continues to deliver advocacy services, inclusive social programmes, volunteer-led community events, and a growing portfolio of support and outreach activities across East London and Essex.
The rebrand follows a formal resolution by the Board of Trustees and aligns with CFDN’s 2024–2027 Strategic Plan.
