Information Cards and Emergency Services

Information cards and emergency service solutions are fantastic tools for those in a position where they can't communicate they diagnosis and their needs, or they need additional support due to poor health. We have identified services that are used nation-wide, which could support members in an emergency.

British Red Cross Home Care Services

0300 456 1914

https://www.redcross.org.uk/get-help/get-support-at-home/about-our-home-care-services

If you're being discharged from hospital, the British Red Cross can bring you home and make sure you have everything you need for your first few days. If you still need assistance after that, they can provide up to 12 weeks of support.

Lions Message in a Bottle

0121 441 4544

https://lionsclubs.co/Public/message-in-a-bottle/

A simple but effective way for people to keep their basic personal and medical details where they can be found in an emergency on a standard form and in a common location – the fridge. It helps emergency services personnel to save time in identifying an individual very quickly and knowing if they have any allergies or take special medication. Paramedics, police, fire-fighters and social services support Lions’ life-saving initiative and know to look in the fridge when they see the Message in a Bottle stickers. The initiative provides peace of mind that prompt and appropriate medical assistance can be provided, and next of kin / emergency contacts can be notified.

Skiggle

https://www.skiggle.co.uk/about-us/

They fund and operate a unique 24/7 SOS emergency alert service and run an online marketplace where people can safely rehome and distribute disability care products and equipment. They offer help and support for disabled people directly through their website.
